Cool The future of Powermats for cell phones?

    http://ces.cnet.com/8301-35299_1-576...arging-at-ces/

What do y'all think of this? Would you guys carry a small "Powermat dongle" in your pocket with your smartphone to be able to charge up on powermats?

Since I always have my peugeot car with me, I don't need one :-)

    It is always fully charged.

Phone charger built into your car? USB-based?

Would love it since I cannot carry spare batteries to swap out due to the iphone not being easily taken apart.

Unfortunately Duracell is contributing to the fragmentation of wireless charging options. They use their own proprietary method of induction charging rather then using the Open "Qi" Standard.

Qi based charging mats have been around for quite a while and can be found in a few Android and Windows Mobile phones. There are even iOS cases that allow Qi charging (although I cant stand iPhones).

I currently use a Qi charger to charge my tablet and love it.
