    Angry pinged.net outage

    Is your webhost down? Your main website is even down along with all the hosted websites.. If you are down.. can you please get me my latest backup of my website files. I paid for a year of hosting. Or is this something temporary? Its been down for days.

    I would have private messaged you but I am unable to do so. I also have not gotten a reply from an email to pinged, I am guessing since the servers are down you guys did not receive.

    Pinged.net robbed me! All my sites just went down. No way of getting ahold of them. They just ripped me off. Stay away

    Maybe you're being a bit hasty lining them up for the firing squad quite so quickly. Their own site appears to be down so maybe they're having some issues. They have a rep here @pingedNET-Zach that you could PM and he might have time to respond if he's not busy fixing whatever it is that's gone wrong.

    How long have you been offline? Downtime happens to even the best of providers. If they've been offline for multiple days and haven't replied to any of your inquiries, I'd say you have a point - is that the case?

    Yes! Been down for days, cant reach them and they haven't sent me anything about it either. Very frustrating and a huge waste of my time.

    I understand how frustrated you must be without no information, I wouldn't say they robbed you just yet until you know the true facts. However being down this long with no update is not acceptable.

    Nearly every host makes those claims these days. Those claims don't mean they have magically figured out how to avoid all downtime. Their claims simply mean you are entitled to a refund if you are unhappy during the first 30 days of service. Are you still within the first 30 days of service when that provider?

    Then don't make the claims. I understand some downtime, but a fews days and still no contact with them. How many days after this? Will they give me my wasted time back? Will they reimburse me or my customers? Will they get a phone number after this? Dont know, NO, NO, NO and NO.

    Do you have a recent backup? If so, you could give it to a new host to set you up (temporarily even) at least to get you back online while you wait to see how they will resolve their problems.

    Out of interest, what do you mean when you refer to "my customers"?

    Downtime

    Guys I assure you we are NOT closing. We have a major issue that is causing some downtime and we are working the issue. Everyone will be compensated for the downtime and you data is safe.

    Wouldn't keeping us updated about 7+DAYS of downtime be considered customer service? Might want to take that off of your site...or at least get YOUR customers sites back up.

    I have to say they could have certainly handled this better .. atleast redirect their main domain to some other hosting and put a support email somewhere
    i have asked for refund and still no word .

    btw we had to build sites from scratch the ones we had hosted with them

    After what your customers have gone through in the last 2+ weeks.
    24/7 support means nothing if you dont answer your support tickets.

    Little offtopic but Agreed! Many web hosts say oh look, x hosting is offering y packages at z pricing so lets do that

    The way some "businesses" are ran is terrible.

    I see PInged.net is up - if this is the first time that has happened to the guys hosting with them maybe let them prove themselves again?

    but yeah .. but having said that ..the guys running the specials etc have to KNOW right they will get customers ? so why dont they atleast plan for that ?
