    Are you currently using cPanel?

If you get a managed VPS with cPanel/WHM it will most likely be setup the same way. You can create a cPanel account from WHM, exactly like your shared hosting just with a lot more resources.

Do you have a budget in mind?

Get a Managed VPS since it's your first time, it will be a little more expensive but worth it. Look in the offer's section and email the sales team. I'm sure they will not mind transferring the site for you or at least setting up the "harder" stuff.

Once it's transferred, start learning how the VPS works and reading tutorials on the web. Once you feel comfortable, you can get an unmanaged VPS and save some money if you'd like.

In my shared hosting they had Plesk, which didn't have any option whatsoever.
If the VPS comes with cpanel i think i can take it from there.

I don't know about prices, my site can be pretty intensive since my shared hosting suspended my account due to "high server load".

It had 10k daily visitors before they shut it down today.
    I've seen prices at http://www.caratnetworks.com/vps.php
Because they host nitroroms which a site on the same niche as mine.
However i don't host roms, i link to third party hosts.

I know that can be a big problem with many webhostings, but it wasn't for leaseweb and it seems fine to carat as well.

Most VPS providers user cPanel, so you shouldn't have a problem there. In that case, email the sales team to make sure it's allowed.

    consumer support

any VPS hosting solution that is focused on consumer support should be more than willing to assist you with these types of things. You'll know if you're moving to the right VPS if they're willing to help make your transition easy!

What i need is to help me move.
I'll need chat support 24/7 in case a problem comes up (i.e: server goes down) Support has to be tech support not just sales chat.

For example now my website is down until someone goes back to work on Monday. This is unacceptable.

Which VPS can you recommend me, remember my website links to roms so probably needs to be offshore?
    Carat networks is 1 option.
    Anyone else?

Many hosters will move your sites for free if you order a VPS with cPanel or Plesk. Also most providers do offer live chat support. You should focus on your VPS resources. Keep in mind that cPanel costs ~$15 for VPS. What is your budget, what resources do you need?

Get your full cPanel backup and MySQL backup.
    Buy VPS.
    Buy WHM/cPanel license.
    Install WHM/cPanel.
Create new account on WHM and add your domain.
Upload your full backup and MySQL backup to your new cPanel.

    Done.

Get manage VPS is one of the options, but if you want to move on to VPS, my advise to you is start from scratch. There are many internet tutorials that you can refer.

Since you clearly need a fully manged host, check out offers from Soladrive.com, Knownhost.com and TmzVps.com
All are really good fully managed hosts.

You have to expect to pay around $30-35 per month for their service.

Support and sales is two completely different things. Most companies has their sales staff only working Monday to Friday, but of course their support staff works 24/7 (if they offer 24/7 support).

Smaller companies, that maybe don't have any sales staff, only the owner working both support and sales, will maybe reply on sales tickets in the weekend also.

I'm sure you will get a reply from one of the companies on my list, now in the weekend also, but it's not guaranteed. Not on a Sunday.

On the other hand, it's not a problem ordering av VPS on a Sunday and get it up and running. Most companies has automated systems for that.
So long as you have no issues that can be flagged when they check for fraud.
Your problem will be that you need Cpanel and a fully managed server, in most cases the server has to be setup manually (at least after it has been created).

Sundays and the weekend is not the best time changing hosts.

Well it's not my fault the retards of Leaseweb suspended me on a Saturday afternoon, right before the last tech support guy left the building without leaving me any chance to fix the situation.

I guess i'll wait till Monday. Thanks a lot!
