    Plimus is apparently now "BlueSnap"

No personal experience with either; but that's where plimus.com redirects to and it appears to be a global payment processing company.

Why are you wanting the 'business' in a different country to your own ?

Unfortunately if you find the transaction fees of PayPal high, i'm not sure you're going to find many other services for cheaper. However, 2Checkout & Authorize.Net are other gateways that accept credit cards.

Competition is pretty high already in the US/UK. If you're local to India you may want to focus locally. You should have a better feel of the market and what locals are willing to pay.

You may be better off running your company in India. You may have more connections in India and it can benefit you in many ways. For one reason why staying in India is good because you can market your services to your local geographic area . For example stores and businesses in your town or city you can explain to them how your services can help their business.

Coming to US to start a business can be tough unless your starting something that isn't already out here or that is very limited.

PayPal is a great international payment gateway their fees may be a little high to you but you'll be safe with them.

In this industry it is certainly easy to offer/run a web hosting business in a different country to what you are selling in. It depends on how you are going to proceed with the business plan. I am assuming you are going to use reseller plans or use a dedicated server? In this case buy these packages from the country you selling too. In my experience, customers like to know that there websites are being hosted on local/national servers.

In relation to payment gateways/accepting payments. I use PayPal for most transactions. Although their fees are relatively high, they are largely supported and trusted by most. You can overcome these fees for regular monthly payments, by using Direct Debits. To do this I use GoCardless who charge no monthly fees and variable fees are simply 2% capped at £2. This is great for regular payments by customers, whilst reducing the cost.

    Hope that helps slightly
