Hello i have put my domain name on cloudflare.. i am using my own VPS but when i go to whois via intodns of my domain name i see the MX record is reporting the real ip adress of VPS.. can i hide it because i get many DDos attacks?
The mail server is also the mails that clients use or it is only for my account? I do not use email accounts for my domain name, could i delete the mx record somehow for my account?
In case you do not use mail server on your vps you can delete all mx records in your DNS settings. In case you are using CloudFlare's DNS servers you can do this via their control panel. But it will prevent all users on your VPS from using mail.
Like I said, best is to use third party mail service provider or get another server/vps and host your own mail server there.
