Stay away from almost any host that offers you unlimited space. One or two seem to get this right, but they're not ones I've used so I can't recommend them personally.
All but one of your requirements would be well met by any decent host who doesn't have overloaded servers and whose terms of service and price meet your needs. The tricky one is the bandwidth - 1-2TB is a lot for shared hosting. Some hosts now offer unmetered - which means you can use as much as you need, but the rate at which your visitors can download is the limiting factor. Even with that, you'd struggle with 1-2TB.
What's all that bandwidth for? 2 TB per month is 2.8 GB per hour, or 45 MB per minute, or 6 mbps. That's a lot of traffic for any site. The reason why I ask what it's for is that the reason for the large bandwidth figure may also be a reason that pushes you into certain directions (if, say, you'd be using a lot of CPU as well).
Well, definitely stay away from any EIG brand (HostGator, BlueHost, etc.). By the looks of your requirements it does not seem like you're looking for an "unlimited" provider anyway. The features you're looking for are fairly standard, what might your budget be since you mentioned your current host has raised it's pricing that made you want to move?
Well, for three months, I was being charged 9 dollars.
TBH, I am also switching because I do not like the owner. I know him semi personally through an IRC channel we hang out at. I would be willing to pay more than that too for good hosting of course.
I realize that is a lot. Sorry to say, I do not know how to gauge hosting how much I use. I just remember once having 1TB and it ended up getting tapped out because of bots. I was just doing that to be safe.
I am looking for a new hosting company. Host Associate upped their pricing so time to move on. I do not think I need to much so their price hike was a little silly to me.
1 to 2 TB of bandwidth
>5 GB of space
99% up time
How much should something like this go for? Any recommendations on what company to go with and who for sure to stay away from?
You should contact your host first! I am sure they would rather do you a deal to stay rather than loose you.

What control panel do Host Associate use? Almost every panel has some way to view your historic bandwidth use, month on month. That should help you gauge a more realistic figure. Agreed, you don't want to get hit by bots and then suspended because you've used your monthly transfer. But equally you don't want to pay for a huge transfer limit that you likely won't use.
Well, that's possible under shared hosting also but you might have to shell out a little more. If your usage exceeds than you always have an option for upgrading it to a vps. Note: You can buy services for a month and check their it, if you like then you can move ahead for a longer term and also read their TOS before investing.
