Is VPS can be a valid IP Address Justification

Many people are asking for dedicated server specifications for a VPS hosting but the Dedicated Server providers usually have an ipv4 addresses limit per server.

I am wondering if starting a VPS can be a valid justification for adding extra IPv4 addresses to a server.

I am also wondering if most VPS providers giving an entirely new and separate IPv4 address for every VPS instance.

Yes it's a valid reason and yes every vps have his own IP.

Yep - would be legitimate justification. If you're asking whether or not providers assign at least one IPv4 with every new order, that's correct too. Some dedicated server providers likely have a per-server I.P. limit -- probably a /24 for each machine but it depends on where you're getting the servers.

You didn't give your location but I know ARIN, the North American RIR, will ask who the IP is assigned to. So just creating a bunch of virtual servers to justify IP addresses will not be valid justification but if you actually have customers who are purchasing virtual servers, then yes it is valid justification.

Most likely OP asking about providers justification, not ARIN because most likely he has no DA from ARIN.

Only your service provider knows whether the justification good or bad. For example we accept any meaningful explanation for up to 64 IPs per server.

VPS is totally valid reason as you cannot have a VPS without dedicated IP address.

Every VPS created on a dedicated server node will have a unique IP address. The justification pattern may vary from host to host. Some providers might ask for a detail justification like what applications or services will be run from the VPS etc etc.
