    Local Google vs Google.com

    Hi,
I have good ranking on google.rs (my local google) << for my location-specific keyword >>
but in google.com, my website is on page 8.

Language of site is Serbian (local language), but I add recently Google translate for english and other language.
When I add this my rank is up but is still on page 8.
I have good backlinks from sites with english content.
What can I do to increase my position on google.com?

    Thanks...

Do not do any "back-links". Definitely not sponsored ones and definitely not any with "follow" attribute. Grow the English version organically and be patient. It will pay off. It makes sense the english version of the same domain and website to be ranked lower for now. If more travelers come to that one and it there is an organic growth, it will go up.

The best advice, to have a good position in google.com

is getting visitors (ips) English speaking.

    example: Ip of U.S.

That is correct! Also keep in mind that when you're using translators, the value of the content is lacking because of the grammar and quality of translation. If your website is not too big or content-rich, I would go with slowly updating the content manually and in proper English

Submit your website to classifieds in location which you are targeting.

    Your website is in English?
Because I wouldn't want it in my SERP if it weren't.

Try to promote your site, but not as much as getting new links form web directories, but more SEM so try to encourage real people on forums (like this ) or by social media, to do more traffic from english ip's like guys above said

Yes it is better to have both versions. But there is another possibility. he guy has not shared the keywords. May be his keywords are generic and thus having high competition that is why not supporting him to get high rankings. Sharing the whole bunch of information may provide a straight direction to the experts to answer your question.
