Solusvm KVM node can't shutdown vm with command line
I am using solusvm, and on my newly installed kvm node, I type "virsh shutdown kvm121", and the server response shuting down kvm121, but I can still ping it and if I type virsh list, I still see it running, anyone knows why this happened ?
How to fix it?
You need to enable ACPI on the VM for a graceful shutdown:
http: // wiki.libvirt.org/page/FAQ#Why_doesn.27t_.27shutdown.27_seem_to_work.3F
I check the solusvm control panel, it is on for ACPI you mentioned.
Is acpid running on the VM as mentioned in the libvirt FAQ?
Oh! So you mean we have to install acpid on the VPS to have the command "virsh shutdown kvmID" to effective ?
Yes, as stated in the libvirt FAQ.
