Membership website
Hey
I am rather new to web design but I want to build a travel membership website. Can you share me some ideas such as:
- where to host
- where to find a good online website builder that allows me to create a membership website (user registration, login and payment)
Thanks a lot.

Your best option is if you want to learn is take a class in web design along with PHP/MySQL. Sitepoint.com and w3schools.com would be a great places to start IMO.
Concerning hosting, the options are unlimited. There are many good hosts that you can choose from. Just read through the forums.
Hope the best to you!OCOSA Communications | Since 2003

Yes, you can using WordPress or any other CMS. Then simply learn to make your own themes. But then you would need to do some additional coding so it works like you want since it's a membership site. Your best bet is to learn things first through online classes. They are not that expensive.

Classified Ads software/plugin
That will add more complexity to a simple registration type website. You'll more likely need a solution that's specific to classified ad type websites.
You have a few options:
1) You can try learning development on your own
2) Look to bring in a technical co-founder who can handle more advanced needs and build something from scratch
3) Look for classified ad software or plug-ins for existing content management systems.

Drupal may fit your requirements. But since your are a total newbie, you may want to hire someone to build your website.
