Question Opinions on using ResellerClub for Domains?

    Hi guys,
I recently signed up for a shared hosting reseller account, now I want to get a domain reseller account to go with it.
I took a look at Enom, OpenSRS and ResellerClub, and RC's latest pricing is very cheap.
.com Domains are going for sub $9.

Does anyone have any experience with their domain reseller accounts?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the response.
Seeing as you use their services, do you know if the current prices are merely a promotion, and will hike in the new year, or are they the new set prices?

We are one of the oldest resellers of Directi/Resellerclub and they are one of the best registrars.

Their prices are different as customers. We are on Slab 6 at this time. They do promotions as extensions every month. I don't think they will raise prices arbitrarily.

I'm interested in finding out about resellerclub as well. The responses above do answer some of my own concerns...

Just like woofles, what i would like to know is are their current promotional prices for lifetime? If someone signed up with them on promotional prices, have they been on the same prices since then or did those change?

I only see up to Slab 3 on their site. Can you please provide more information because every time we talk to them they tell us the highest slab is 3!

I recommend NetEarthOne. Similar control panel yet lower prices.

There are 7 Slabs. But it does not appear on their site. We are a premium reseller of them. Because we paid myriads of dollars. So our prices are a little cheaper than Slab3. If I remember correctly paying $70k+ is required to pass Slab7.

I'm sorry I'm digging up an old thread, but I'd like some input on OpenSRS as well..

We're with Enom now, but we want to switch so something without minimum deposits or deposit fees, so I'm looking into OpenSRS vs. Resellerclub.

OpenSRS = Canadian, and so are we, so that's a +1 for them
Resellerclub = occasional promotions (good ones), so that's a +1 for them..

    Any input is appreciated.

Wouldn't touch OpenSRS with a ten foot pole. Their API requires you to store the custom user name and password for each domain after registration if you want to do anything more than be able to manage nameservers or submit renewals via it (while no other registrar has such a ridiculous requirement).

Would the WHMCS addon take care of that, or do we have to manually maintain this?

The OpenSRS addon for WHMCS would manage the accounts for you. You wouldn't have to do any manual work.

    Hey DNKI,

Thanks for your PM, we will respond once we have more details, but for the record, we wish to reiterate that there is no possibility of anyone from ResellerClub being involved in such malicious activities. Further, as your email provider appears to be a 3rd party, we will definitely try and assist you to the best we can in getting to the bottom of this.

    I will recommend ResellerClub.
They always come up with special promo's added to their regular pricing.
You will get certain domains a lot more cheaper than you did get anywhere.
