help with hdd/ssd
I have a question regarding the placement of SSD in my web server.
Right now I have 3 old SAS in RAID5 in my server (they are temporary)
My idea is to have an SSD to store there OS, MySQL, varnish and that kind of stuff, while having all the static content and backups on an HDD.
I just bought an Intel SSD DC S3500 160GB and will buy a SATA3 or SAS hdd.
My questions right now are
- the SSD is much thiner, it seems, can I use the same pockets as I'm currently using for my SAS's (like this http://iw.suntekstore.com/disimage.p...&img=image.jpg ) or if I need something else, could you give me a link please? Both are 2.5''
- should I install the OS itself on the SSD or SATA? I am planning to use cPanel and my target is good performance in means of ttfb, mainly.
