    Cpu Cores and Memory Size Difference for my web site

    i have new 2 web site which coded asp.net mvc and use mssql database,web sites used for online ecommerce marketing and my database size is 12GB and second database is 6GB and 4 - 5.000 visitors hit in a day.

    online customers in same time around 200-300 people in site.

    i have now server with 32gb memory and 8core but i want to move to Hetzner company to rent new dedicated server.

    i want to ask that what can be difference for me to rent 2 or 4 core cpu and 8 or 16gb memory ? or amd athlong,opteron , intel core i7 or E series cpu ?

    which can be best for my site options?

    Those databases are quite large so you definitely want a decent processor, E3 or E5 would probably be the best.

    You might want to use some sort of CDN (such as CloudFlare) as well to take less strain off your server. Optimization where possible is also a good choice, try using LiteSpeed over Apache too.

    8GB RAM might be fine, but I'd definitely try to go higher to 16GB or even 32GB if possible.

    what about the managed VPS servers ? can i use one of them for my sites and database ?

    Your sites might be too resource intensive for a VPS, VPS could get suspended if it's using too many resources.

    Depends on what Provider you go with though.
