I've been searching around for a good back solution for a large local and remote backup strategy. Here are the options I found:
safekeep = CLI wrapper for rdiff, but looks like they might be opening up to more utilities than just rdiff
Some of these aren't even mentioned here on WHT at all. And on Google I couldn't find recent reviews for most of them. Some appear to be inactive projects, but still might be stable and work great.
Rdiff looks like a good solution for frequently changed files like databases and internal documents. Rsnapshot looks good for the standard daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots. But some of the others look interesting because of compression and encryption options, as well as FUSE filesystem.
Does anyone have any experience with the above options?
