I am running VPS since long, I have 2 VPS from different companies now I am thinking to buy one dedicated server and move all customers in one place..
About dedicated server, i dont want to check offers because we need good reviews and satisfaction about support and uptime...
500GB or 1TB HDD
Xeon E3 or E5 machines with 8 cores
Bandwidth should be 3000GB or 4000GB
IPs Max 5
Budget around $70-$80.
I want to run server for long term this is not for only one month use or switch after some months so it will be for long term because we dont want to switch again and again because we dont want to disturb our customers, thats why i want good uptime and good support to being with that company.. If company provide fast email reply system, personal phone support etc thats more cool..
I think your budget is too low and you will not get managed server from any reputed providers. cPanel license for dedicated server alon costs around $30 / month. Consider raising your budget and check the dedicated server offer section in this forum. Select some good bids and google for their reviews.
Also you can try Burst.NET or OVH but cannot recommend them.
You're not going to get cPanel for that price. Install OpenVZ and rent a cPanel VPS License for $10 from your host then install cPanel into the container, which should be setup to use all your server resources, then enter the license key and it should work.
All of these hosts are unmanaged. You won't find a managed for that price. Cheapest E3 managed is $99 from InterServer
Thank you all guys you took time and showed your interest on my topic.. Actually i am just confused, my both VPS cost is around 80$ So just thought if i can jump on dedicated server for this price like $80-$85. Basic Manage is fine or do you guys have any suggestion plz?
You can get a dedicated server with that price range. But for cPanel + management, you will have to pay little extra. Please note that when you go for cheap services, you will get only what you pay for. OVH, burstnet, interserver, etc have some cheap plans. Check with them and see if they suits you.
1. For VPS, CPU cores are shared among other VPS on the same node. So the provider can oversell CPU. Sometimes they share RAM as well ( mostly with openvz ). Where in your dedicated server, all resources are dedicated to you.
2. cPanel license price is low ( around $15 or less for VPS ) comparing to dedicated server.
3. Dedicated setup - management is little tougher than VPS. Also they have to allow your own space in their cage and its related networking.
