    A New Rule

    In the advertizing forums you shouldn't be allowed to request or offer Unlimited Space and Bandwidth.

    People will keep requesting until they understand it doesn't exist.

    As for advertising it, this restriction has been included in the Shared Webhosting Special Offers Forum description.
    There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

    I guess this will cut down on the false advertising and maybe help keep some "Unlimited Hosts" out of court. Well done

    I guess someones pissed because my advertisements always get more views then anyone elses because i offer "Free Unlimited Space" in the title

    I am very annoyed at this new rule

    Unlimited hosts should be given a fair chance to advertise their services along with everyone esle
    If other hosts dont like that then they should but out.

    Your waging a war you will NOT win here, or most anywhere else.

    The mods have done something that was a long time coming.

    ok, perhaps im splitting hairs but..

    * 100mbps Network Connection
    * Unlimited Data Transfer

    would that offer be classed as "unlimited bandwidth" and against the rules, since the bandwidth is clearly limited to 100mbps it shouldnt be against the rules, if thats agains the rules what about

    * 100mbps Network Connection
    * "Unmetered" Data Transfer

    also: is offering "unmetered" disc space against this rule

    I guess you should direct any questions like that, before you make a post to: moderators@webhostingtalk.com - they will give you a simple "yes" or a "no" as to whether you may post it or not

    Not really. It usually results in arguements over such things not existing.

    Perhaps all those hosts offering their services should be forced to sign up with WHT and must agree not to say "unlimited" bandwidth and space.
