What kind of dog do you own

I have a 4 pound chihuahua. Best dog I've ever owned. What kind of dog do you have? How long have you had her/him. I have owned Chloe for almost a year now. She's the weirdest dog I've ever seen.. lol

Does your dog make weird moaning noises all of the time when he lays down under the blankets and gets warm.. lol My dog always thinks it's a good idea to run up to bigger dogs and try to play with them....lol

weird moaning noises - yes..all the time..everytime he has to go...or he wants to play .. or is hungry ... he makes all kinds of moaning noises. lol...

LOL Yup.. Sounds just like Chloe. After I take her outside, when I pick her up to bring her back inside.. She stuffs herself inside my coat to get warm. Then she starts moaning so loud, the neighbors can hear it.

We don't own a dog. But we've had one for years. Or we've had several through the years. Or ... Actually, we foster. Our current foster is a Bully Pit (half American Bulldog and half American Pit Bull).

I love/hate fostering. While it allows us the opportunity to help many animals, you can't help but get attached to them. So it can be tough when you find them a great home.

If someone's in the Kalamazoo area and needs a great companion, Caddy's available for adoption!

*Not good for homes with children under 6. (I just picked a number. Little kids freak him out. If you have a tall 4 year old, he'd probably be fine. He just gets freaked around kids that are about eye-level) He loves teenagers though, especially teenage girls. But he is faithful, fun-loving, energetic, curious, and protective.

Chloe does some weird things. She's constantly cold. Probably because she is small. She won't eat if we want her to. As soon as we leave the kitchen, she runs in there and eats. She barks at the television. She sleeps 3/4ths the day away.

I don't own them... they own me.
I have a German Shepherd mix (Ay-Doff) and a American Staff (Slayer).

    Both are pound dogs.

Slayer gets along with my Son (16 Mon) but the Shepherd shows signs of jealousy.

I own a small Italian hound. When we bought him apparently he is constantly cold, likes men more than women and uses pee-pad. When we got home he was always outside, always after my wife and doesn`t use the pee-pad at all the complete opposite.

We have two, adorable dogs. A 7lb Chihuahua and a 25lb Shiba Inu. We've had them about three years and we love them so very much. As a child, we always had cats and were never allowed dogs so it was very different having them under my feet when I walk, jumping up onto my leg because they want to go out, want to be pet, or teaching our Shiba Inu to sit on command...that was fun 'cept it took him about 2 weeks to get it hehe.

The funny thing is...when our chihuahua first met our Shiba Inu...she wanted to chew his head off. Now, they are best friends who lay on one another when they sleep. So cute!

I have what I think is a schnoodle or something. Named him Tommy. Found him on the side of the highway with a broken leg, took care of him and nobody claimed him, so I kept him.

Aww - poor thing. Glad Tommy now has a good home

My friend adopted her mini pin from someone off craigslist as they had found her on the side of the road like that. She is microchipped and the A-holes just threw her away and said they didn't have a dog when the couple tried to find her original home.

Makes me so upset that people can be so cold and evil like that.

I couldn't resist. I HAD to google it, lol.

    Schnoodle

    Dog Breed
A schnoodle is a domestic dog. It is a cross between a schnauzer and a poodle. Schnoodle is a portmanteau combining the two breed names and is not accepted as a breed by the AKC.

I have a husky. I got him 2 years back from animal shelters. He has been a great addition to my family.

"Own" may not the perfect word to be used in this context.

I had/have a Schnoodle also. She is a little bundle of energy, but she's dumb as a rock. I've also had Cairn Terriers while growing up, and they were pretty awesome as well.

When I was in high school, my best friend's Mom adopted a Cockapoo, which was the most ridiculous breed name I'd heard of at the time. It made me feel better about mentioning that I had a breed called Schnoodle. After all, it could have been worse.

Although I grew up with smaller dogs, I've always wanted a Husky. Unfortunately, circumstances haven't made that realistic. I ended up getting 3 black cats (acquired at different points, though all 'gifted' from the same ex-roommate) even though I'm allergic to cats.

I am one of those people who go out of their way to not browse sites like petfinder or even stop by the adoption center at my local petco. I get that nearly uncontrollable urge to rescue every animal I can. Sounds great in theory, but it has put me into some ridiculous situations in the past.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if most people even knew the breed of their cat. Aside from 'long haired' and 'short haired' the distinctions aren't nearly as relevant as they are in dogs.

We're only allowed two dogs where we are. Also, unfortunately, they have Husky's listed as not allowed at these apartments. But I would love to have one - they are such beautiful dogs and so smart from what I have read about them.

I did see a husky mixed with a Pom on my Facebook page...and, well, fell in love, attached pic. I so want one.

Me too. When my friend lost her dog (we believe someone took her when she was outside doing her business) she went to the pound every day just about to see if she was there. It made me so sad and want to adopt every single animal there. Makes me sad just to think about how many animals are discarded like that and have to be pinned up in a cage - on top of when they euthanize them at no fault of the animal.

A little late but here is my Spoilt Siberian Husky.

The only downside is the sheer amount of fur they shed year round.

Plus their great friends inside during the summer but come winter he loves it outside.
