    Need a High Bandwidth VPS

    Hi guys,
I am currently hosting a few game servers that are averaging 85GB per day to run. I need a VPS that includes:
    -1 to 2 Cores
    -2GB Ram
-At least a 30 GB HDD
-1 Gigabit (or at least 100 mbps up and down)
-At least 3000GB (3TB) of bandwidth
    -Windows OS (No preference)

My budget at the moment is $30 a month
Right now, I am with NFO Servers using the 2 Core Plan but I am running out of bandwidth and the month isn't even over. Any ideas guys?

If you are happy with your provider look at upgrading your bandwidth.

NFO is setup for gaming so you might want to stay with them. I'd imagine they would work with you possibly on bandwidth. But you could have a look at the offer section to see if anything stands out.

Okay, looked on the board that you suggested. Found 5gbps.com. They are offering this for $29:
    EVO 1

    1Gbps Unmetered
    400GB Dedicated HDD
    2GB Dedicated RAM
    2 x 3.4Ghz Xeon E3-1270
    Linux or Windows OS
    XEN Virtualization
    99.9% Uptime SLA
    SolusVM Control Panel
    Location: Netherlands (EvoSwitch)
    Full root/administrator

Has anyone else tried 5gbps? If so, what was your experience with them? Also, how did you access the server with a Windows install? RDC? VNC? etc. etc.

Seems the offer is good, but saying 1gbps unmetered, it will share with many users. sometimes you may not able to push even 10mbit.

For high bandwidth/unmetered VPS, I would recommend the following hosts:

    Altinsoft.net
    Afterburst.net

    Thanks for the mention

To clarify though our domain is afterburst.com rather than .net (.net has no affiliation with us)

Soz, it was just a typo. A lot of many providers using .net these days so sometimes I get confused.

There is nothing called "unlimited" it has limitation. For example you cannot use more than 32 TB on a 100 mbps connection.Unmetered is a different thing though which means the provider is ot putting a limitation on amount of bandwidth you use on their 100 mbps/1 Gbps line.

Just wanted to add that no VPS provider would let you use full 100 mbps/1 Gbps 24/7 as it would hurt others on their node.

there is always limitation until you buy full bandwidth

However look at provider as OVH do, they don't really monitor how much TB until there is no "abuse" (satured GB link or such).

It's like phone company they offer you generally unlimited call but if you used too much they bill you.

Nothing is unlimited and if someone need 100Mbps 24h/24 with $30 it's under the cost of production.

I agree. That's why back in the day it was unmetered as opposed to unlimited. But we actually didn't meter our T1s we sold as we sold a full port to a customer not fractional.

I'd prefer unmetered over unlimited when dealing with bandwidth. Or find out what the unlimited threshold really is from the provider.

From that offer I wouldn't recommend it. because HDD I/O will struggle with that one. and that kind of offers would attract abusers!!

You may want to look at tmzvps as the appear to be in your price range and offer what you are looking for.
