    Driving traffic to your sites..how?

I have seen various traffic building firms that promise a gajillion hits for $5.95 plus your kidneys..now have any of you actually tried these plans?

I have found these guys here http://www.mega-traffic.net/

    I was wondering:

    1. have you tried any of these schemes?
    2. do you have any companies that you suggest that do this type of advertising for you

    regards

Looks like regular popups/popunders for that, 100,000 for $175 isn't too bad of a price either if their traffic is decent. You might get a couple of sales out of that, I've gotten a few from popunders.

I like more "targeted" ads... Usually with host directories. I have a few paid listings and loads of free listings. I am happy using that.

Most of these bulk traffic are untargeted (usually the sources are low value entertainment or joke sites) and a good percentage are from non-English countries.

I seriously advise against using these bulk traffic ... they may be cheap but you aren't likely to get any conversion.

There's one sure thing you'll get, a waste of bandwidth from 100K non-buyers seeing your site.

Targetted advertising. This forum offers advertising and I wouldn't doubt the traffic from potential clients here is great. Also get listings in places like HostSearch.com and FindMyHosting.com...

If you're short of ad dollars, I recommend an affiliate program that pays generously. It'll help you build up your base quickier and you only pay for positive conversions.
