Burst.net blocking incoming port 25?
I have a VPS with burst.net that I want to use as a backup mx server. Strangely INCOMING port 25 is blocked and outgoing isn't.
I put in a ticket with support, but I still have another ticket open from 24hrs ago that still hasn't been answered.
Anyone have any experience with this issue?0

Have you checked your server to see if it has any firewall rules in place?
iptables, csf etc..
Is the mail server configured correctly?0

Yes, for testing I disabled the firewall and tried to telnet to port 25. I received no response. Changed the port to 2525 and tried to telnet again, works just fine.
Changed back to port 25 and no response.
With the mail server off "netstat -an" does not show 0.0.0.0:25 so no other service is using the port.
The port is being blocked at a network level.0

We do not block ports.
More likely your ISP is blocking it!

Funny because I've tried to telnet to it from my 2 ISP's and 2 other dedicated servers that are from different providers all with the same results.

Most isp's block port 25 coming from your computer to the internet to prevent your computer from becoming a spambot.

Try the telnet test on your VPS to your VPS.

I hear you (without the shouting ). So, if Burst aren't blocking the port there's 2 other alternatives. Either your config is wrong or you're being blocked somewhere. A lot of ISPs (still) block 25, so if you can get to SMTP via 26 then it's most likely that. If you can't then it's more likely to be your config. The least likely cause, by a country mile, is that BurstNET are blocking it exclusively on your VPS and no-one else's.
