    Phone number EZPZ hosting

    Hello,

Does anyone have a phonenumber from EZPZ hosting? All sites are unreachable for at least 1,5 hour. I tried contacting them with an 'urgent' ticket almost an hour ago and no response yet.

Status page says everything on the server is OK but it's not. Two days the same thing happened, the server was also unreachable but according to the status page everything was fine.

I would like to phone them to see if they even know there is a problem.

Anyway, two minutes after opening this post and one hour after i opened an urgent ticket about a dowtime i got a reply saying 'it is now being investigated'.

Second downtime in three days, the server has a history of being slow and having high loads for months an months and clients breathing down my neck. Nice way to start the weekend.

What server are you on? According to their status page there are no known issues

They use to reply that fast. Not anymore. Recently takes atleast a minimum of 4-8 hours to reply. Last ticket I opened had one reply every 24 hours...

Due to rapid growth we are have been having issues keeping up with the support load. We've recently hired new staff and they're going through the training, we're beginning to catch up and response times are coming back down to normal.

The phone number was removed from our website. It was only supposed to be use for sales but we received more and more support calls. Any support issues need to be submitted through our website, we can't provide any phone support currently.

I've looked at the live chat logs and no chats have been missed - every chat has been answered and responded to.

Good work Dan, nice to see a response.
I can sympathise regarding the sales phone, as a support tool it's not easy or cheap to maintain for the average provider.

for two months i cant remember how many times i wrote to support for server performance, a copy / paste answer
"we terminated some high consuming reseller accounts and it should be ok in 2 hours"

just 6 hours later still same, next day, next week still same, i think they over and oversell the machines

    HI

If you've got a good few accounts yourself, it maybe wise to upgrade to a VPS where you would have more control and your users are separated from other heavy CPU users that would slow your site down.

Dan mentioned a few weeks ago that they were migrating some old machines to brand-new hardware, maybe you are on one of those servers... their services are under a SLA, you should take advantage and use that option

Regarding overselling, by offering Master Resellers maybe they do (as well as I believe most hosting providers), but that's a very relative term nowadays, thanks to the powerful platforms that can be installed in order to provide a stable service, not only in terms of hardware (EZPZ mentioned the new servers will come with lots of RAM (48 - 128 GB), SSD disks, intel E5v2, which is great) but also things like Cloudlinux (isolated environments for each account), Litespeed (increases a website's speed), those things improve performance incredibly! so certainly thanks to that a server can handle more accounts efficiently! something that couldn't be done properly like two years ago hehe.

They have a very good reputation, give them a chance to fix these issues right away

Altough they always deny it their servers are "oversold" ... constantly high loads that don't get noticed unless you open a ticket. To bad such a great company going downhill like this.

Unfortunately the phone number is just a recorded message saying they won't answer the phone. Email only. (And the forum is also removed)

Anyone else got a working phone number for EZPZ?.

Phone number? Who needs a phone number when you have WHT, post here and Dan jumps to it (Might take him 5 months to reply though).

Have you used ezpz? You seem to jump on every ezpz thread to bash Dan, really shows your maturity.

Thought you would have stopped after being accused of being a troll.

Stopped after being accused of being a troll, I'm not a troll I state the facts, it took 40 pages and him to reply to the customers struggling to get an answer, (and they are still having issues) but he was active on the forum and complaining someone stole bits of his layout. I wouldn't call it bashing and if you think so, well a lot of people "bash" EIG, have they used every brand? No works both ways. As for the telephone why have a number on the site if it doesn't work? It's a forum I can post on a thread if I want to...

This is rather surprising as EZPZ have traditionally had quite a good reputation here as a UK host.

Chris from CHP is absolutely right in terms of the benefits of a VPS, especially if you have a lot of customers depending upon you to deliver service. Time is money, and if you're spending a lot of time responding to issues like this, it may well be worth the upgrade for some peace of mind in future.

@Chris - Whitesystem: I've never ever had any faith in 'Master Reseller' plans. Shell out a bit more and you can get a decent VPS and all the control that comes with it. Just about everywhere I've seen Master Reseller plans offered, it seems to be a ticket to high customer density, resource abuse, etc. Even with upgraded hardware, it really doesn't seem to be worth the fuss.

I thought they did not offer masters resellers anymore. It would be nice if he came on here and put his customers mind at rest, who were having a stressful time with all the downtime that has been happening with his servers give them a bit of peace of mind, not just leaving them in the dark about it.I would think that would be the decent thing to do.

If enough people leave the pressure on some servers will go down ... i hope for everyone they don't flood them again.
