Supermicro bios and intel e5-26xxv2
With some supermicro motherboard, you need to upgrade the firmare to use a E5-2600 v2 family cpu, but is there a way to do it without having to use a v1 cpu?
Usually I have a spare v1 cpu and I am using it to upgrade the bios, but unfortunately i don't have one right now and it it getting harder to get one.

You can order a BIOS chip from Supermicro with the appropriate BIOS already loaded. http://www.supermicro.com/Aplus/supp...a/rma_bios.cfm
