HELP ME PLEASE! My domain has been stolen!

Heya Guys

I recently sold my domain to the winning bidder.. (with AIM = Gggmadtown98) who decided to pay me through PayPal, so he did that with no problems and then after i pass over the domain.. he reverses the transaction on paypal so i am lumped with a $75 payment i need to give to paypal and i have now lost my domain.

Does anyone know what i should/can do in this situation.

All and ANY help is appretiated.

Regards
Robin Hawkes.

Options:
Contact the registrar, explain the situation. They can lock it so it can't be transferred. Hopefully they can help you resolve it. You'll still have to reimburse paypal, but you'll still have your domain.

Or, contact paypal. If you sold it on WHT, include the thread. Paypal doesn't normally side with the seller for egoods, but in rare cases they might. The more informaiton you include in the report, the better your chances.

Depending on the registrar you may be be able to reverse the transfer just as easily as the theif did with the payment.
goodluck.

Well paypal e-mailed me back and said because i live in the UK that can do jack all about it.

STUPID PAYPAL! NEVER GONNA USE EM AGAIN!

Hmm.. i wonder if you can reverse a reversed transaction?

I still gotta hear from my registrar about the domain so there is still hope yet.

Also the user WAS from here but i only have his AIM.. i do know he was looking at that "Jokes about Iraq" thread in the general section. If anyone can help smoke this guy out i would be so grateful because i really hate ****heads like this!

Regards,
Robin Hawkes.

In future, use nochex - its impossible to charge back as transactions are irreversible

Have a look at www.moneybookers.com as an alternative for international payments.
