Address when signing up for VPS?

    Hi,

I just have a question which address should I use when signing up for VPS? I normally prefer to use a mailbox address I have at the UPS store because I don't like giving away my address of my private residence for business related transactions.

Would you have any problem with hosts that require your residential address? The reason I ask is because backupsy.com refuses to honor my order unless I provided my residence address.

    Thanks for your input!

If you can't trust your host with legitimate details, why should they trust you with access to their infrastructure?

    Food for thought.

PO/UPS Boxes are a big read Flag for providers.
SPAMERS/SCAMMERS like to use them to hide themselves.
as well as the voip phone

Like others said if you cant trust your provider why should they trust you

Addresses are just using for security measurements of your identity. it's not a big deal to not giving them your real address.

It is a big deal giving your correct address, especially during the fraud check. If your address is not relative to your ip address location then this is a red flag. The order will have a higher fraud rating and could be blocked especially if you use a po box.

Correction: I meant it is not a big deal denying to not providing the address.
