FFMPEG error - libavdevice.so.52: cannot open
I have installed FFMPEG and other codecs a couple of days ago on a server. But whenever I try to use FFMPEG, Mencodere etc, I get the following error.
/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries:
libavdevice.so.52: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any help would be appreciated.
The first result on google looks promising... if you can't google error messages and take a stab at it, then you should hire a sysadmin.

You need to find the path that contains that lib file and add it to /etc/ld.so.conf then run "ldconfig".
That is assuming that lib exists on your system.
