Job Description
Maintain and update policies and procedures related to each discipline. Keeps informed of economic, industrial and other trends that affect market, prices and delivery conditions. Keeps tight oversight of inventory and oversees audits as well as tracking system.


  • Plan, organize and supervise the purchasing functions for the company
  • Prepare purchase orders
  • Oversee daily activities including major purchases and all inquiries regarding processes & bid status
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors and/or service providers; and achieve department objectives and goals within budget
  • Capitalize on purchasing opportunities that translate into increased profitability
  • Monitor available supplies, materials and products in order to ensure that employees have access to the needed materials
  • Manage inventory database
  • Reconcile discrepancies that arise and perform annual inventory and equipment audit
  • Enhance processes and procedures around asset control and risk management
  • Liquidate end of life inventory
  • Conduct annual and periodic spot audits
  • Accept all deliveries into the facility, distribute appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare all outgoing shipments including packaging, staging and prepare all shipping documents

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, forecasting and planning
  • Cross functional skill-set with the ability to work with finance, IT and project managers
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiating skills
  • Judgment and decision-making ability
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
  • Manages time effectively, adapts quickly to changing priorities and works well with little supervision
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required

Physical Demands
Occasionally lift heavy packages, work under tight deadlines with potential last minute changes, ability to adapt and change in a fast paced environment. Work inside corporate office within data center facility.
