    Exclamation StylexNetworks.com - HUGE Downtime

    Hello all.

We are in our first month on StylexNetworks and we are already facing a major downtime.

Our "Heavy Duty Cloud" has been offline during the hole day.
I first contact them about 7 hours ago, and they still have no ETA.

Their techs staff also wont let us know what is the problem.

We feel really disappointed about their service and transparency to the costumers that trusted their services. They could at least tell us what is going on there.

We already lost lots of money because of the downtime, and right now they wont even answer to our tickets anymore.

So watch out if you are willing to pay for their services.

PS: Sorry about my bad english.

There are benefits of having cloud infrastructure, as long as it is designed correctly. I wouldn't rule it out.

Seems to be a problem with one of their SAN units. Network is up as the IPs I have with them are pingable.

Did they tell you what the cause of the downtime was for the previous issue?

I know the current outage is caused by a problem with their SSD SANs.

Honestly though, I found their service and support to be quite reliable overall. This is the first actual unexpected outage I have experienced with them. Looks like it's been down for at least 4 hours now, unfortunately.

No ETA for me either, they just said it's an issue related to their SSD SAN.

I believe the majority of their IPs start with 198

If your VM is still up then I guess the issue is only affecting some of their SANs and not all.

Same here, after ~11 hours down services are back alive.

They introduced a new SSD SAN whereas their previous infrastructure has only SSD Cache. I guess the old infrastructure is not affected. The servers on the new SSD infrastructure is only affected.

Correct, we do have multiple infrastructures and SAN storages, not every client was effected by this.

You have to login and reboot your VM manually I found for it to come back online.

Looks like it affected more than just downtime, after all this now my cPanel licenses are expired.

Twice they have had a "san problem" in the last 3 months. Something tells me this is not High Availability or auto failover...

Twitter feed says they'll have an update in 6 hours, so maybe you'll know something in 1 more hour.

Yes, very disappointed of their services. These downtimes are killing us badly.

I really dont know if I am allowed to ask this here, but do you guys know any other hosting solution that have about the same price and resources, and that have better uptime?

    Thanks for your help.

I moved all of my websites to Linode after their other large outage last week and have been pretty happy.

They stated they were doing some data replication over the past few days and it was causing my VM with them to have high load spikes throughout the few days. It seems like it's still going on and they're unable to provide an accurate ETA on when this will be finished.

Still waiting for their last RFO report and compensation details from last week.

Glad I left in time and avoided this outage as well.

We've moved our site to elsewhere too luckily we got the data backed. As their services all down included the R1Soft server which we purchased with them as well. The promised RFO never provided in time as well as the Twitter update was just a joke never do that they announced or promised. Total more than 20 hours of downtime I will go ahead to file a Paypal dispute.

Will update you guy how's going.

We wil be sending out an email detailing out RFO, plan of action and compensations details. Initially this was delayed as we continued to have stability issues with our SSD SAN, we provisioned a new back up SAN and migrated users, I really apologize for this.

The email will be sent out within 24 hours.

Well, What you think? Since we have filed the Paypal dispute our accounts is suspended luckily we've migrated our server to elsewhere. I'm assume they'll only provide hosting credit but not refund. I won't allow myself to giving credit as compensation if I were StylexNetworks what a shame.

I really apologize for the inconvenience, in such cases we would issue compensation in the form of credit which will be outlined in our RFO email or a prorated refund for the remaining days.

Before we can issue either the dispute has to be lifted as this is against our TOS.

    Solved.

I'm trying to be fair as we've received the pro-rated refund from StylexNetworks. I would say this "fair" but a full refund would be "good". I have to admit they're providing a very good services in the pass few months with affordable price and that outage cannot just blame them but "Technology' As SSD SAN it seem still no mature currently.

We have no much issues while we're on the SAS based SAN but after transferred to SSD based SAN our nightmate is coming along.

Good luck StylexNetowrk and looking forward your RFO to be released.
