    Is HostVoice Worthwhile?

Is HostVoice worthwhile? I see it is owned by Web Hosting Talk. That created some trust so I deposited 50 bucks and I'm going to try and buy a few leads.

I was wondering if any of the other hosts here have experience with it. If so is it a waste of money or do you get some good leads off of it?

I saw some old threads from '06 and '08 but nothing recent so I figured I'd ask.

You need to try for yourself.
I was not successful for us and after we wasted some money on buying leads we stopped.

I feel like for budget hosting, the answer is no. I looked into it for my business and it's just too expensive to justify. Not all leads give us clients, so in my opinion the prices are just way too high.

In our experience of shared, reseller, and dedicated categories...not much sales came from them. However, with the clients we did gain from it, after maybe three years or so we finally got a return.

    So in short, no!

Like others have said, it's quite expensive, and those of us who are offering low-cost hosting, it's just plain not affordable.

Well I do offer low cost shared hosting, but I also offer some upper tier VPS and dedicated options. I bought three leads so far and haven't heard anything back, not even a no thank you. So I have kind of come to the conclusion that it is just a money pit.

I was just looking for an alternative to Google, as the eye of Sauron gets enough of my money already.

I used it when it first launched I think in 2004 or 2005? It was great and we picked up many clients, many of whom are still with us to this day.
