Problem with connecting to cpanel whm server
I am having a problem accessing my cpanel whm server control panel
My cpanel whm server is located one one of my public ip addresses for example 82.68.105.X
My network pcs are behind a Microsoft Forefront TMG 2010 Proxy server the proxy server has a public IP address of 82.68.105.X
My wireless clients can access the cpanel whm server as they connect directly to my routers wireless AP
but when I try accessing cpanel or whm through a pc that is connected to my proxy server the web browser just displays a blank page and does not load the cpanel or whm login page
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem ?
May be the outgoing connections for the ports 2082 and 2086 are blocked by firewall. Are you able to access the ports via telnet from your PC?
I have allowed access to ports 2082, 2083 2086,2087
But i still cannot access the web page
I have opened up Putty and when i click telnet it just shows a blank terminal
Any Ideas ?
Ive just ran the traffic simulator within the troubbleshooting section of forefront TMG
and i am trying to connect to port 2087
and it says the following
Rule Name : Default Rule
Rule Order : 18
From : Internal
To : External
Network Rule Name : Internet Access
Network Relaitionship : NAT
Protacol : Unidentified IP Traffic
Rule Applicaition Filter :
Disable firewall in local computer. You can run a telnet test to server IP to check if port working or not.
Try accessing any other cPanel / WHM from your computer.
You can easily find a website using cPanel and hosted on a different server.
This will check, you can access port 2086 / 2087 from your computer or not.

I can access cpanel whm webmail on other servers that are running cpanel whm within a datacentre
but i cannot access my own cpanel whm server (i host it on my own internet connection its not hosted in a datacentre)
Turns out SSL wasn't enabled and a cert wasn't installed for the web proxy on my forefront
Thanks for the help
Glad to know that you were able to access it...
