    Apache on fcgi / suphp

I am considering moving from suphp to fastcgi however while checking a few things I accidently came across something strange.

In a client cpanel account when if we create a php page, with chown set to 'root' and then access it in the browser it will give 500 internal server error due to permission issues however if we change the php handler to fcgi the browser will display the page.

Is this the default behaviour or something wrong with my settings?

It is the default behaviour. There are many online documentations that explains the differences between the two.

the file permission should be check, suphp give error if the page owner is different from the process owner running the page. when change between them you should check all your files owner and permission to be correct.
