Is it possible to have a 110v and a 208v power cord plugged into an HP Proliant dl385 G1 Redundant PSU temporally to fail over from the 110v to the new 208v circuit?
Generally "redundant" PSU's are effectively the same as multiple single PSU's that share a common output rail, and some voltage/load sensing on the output. Inputs voltages on most units can vary, as the units are independent of each other, but HP can provide a more definitive answer obviously.
Well just got off the phone with HP support and it is NOT recommended to have differing voltages for input at the same time. I will play it safe I guess and have a little downtime. Thx for everyone's input.
