Not sure if this is the right section, but anyways need some advice.
I would like to send (business sales related) emails to around 1000 email address. I have already prepared a excel list consisting of the person's name and their corresponding email address. I also have a own domain name (+ email account) and so now the question, is how to handle this effectively?
MS Outlook does not give me the personalize options and I do not have emails to go into spam folder of the receiving party.
OK, well, look up and find out whether your email/hosting provider has a max email per hour limit, abide to that. Some allow say 200 emails per hour for example, then batch accordingly.
Set SPF and DKIM records within your domains DNS records to add further trust to the email when it reaches the recipients mail servers.
Also, whether it's a 1 off email or not, you need to allow people to either reply to the email or click a link to opt-out from anything further landing in their inbox from you. If you don't, don't be surprised if your host receives abuse complaints!
Check the IP your email is heading out from, ensure it's not already blacklisted or has been marked for spam numerous times in the past; this can seriously affect the chances of your email landing in in the spam folder vs the inbox.
There's probably some more things I'm missing here, so if anyone else can chime in then that'd be great.

Normally most shared hosting servers have a sending limit like 200/300 per hour or 2000/3000 per day (one which comes first will get applied).. Anyway using your own site hosted server for sending an email to 1000 may not be a good option.. ( If your receiver knows your email/s and if you had already done communications with them through any of your domain email.. Then fine.. ). So their are free SMTP servers with a free package online ( e.g turbosmtp ) which allows like 2000-6000 per month and email sending softwares ( e.g sendblaster free edition ) with about 200 email send limit per day ( so in 5 days you could cover up the list )
So this way your will be safe and less chances that your domain will alert any spam filters... =)
Check out Mandrill.com, you can set up SMTP with their servers and they'll allow marketing e-mails as long as it is not SPAM and provide's proper opt-out. The first 12,000 e-mails of each month is included for free. Very easy to set up and use and they will provide the instructions on how to set up proper DKIM and SPF records to use their service.
If you wanna use your hosting smtp server to send email, pls make sure it is that hosting service provider upstream is not in blacklist. Otherwise, your email got very high % of undeliverable/spambox. If your data is important, I suggest you to use service like mailchimp, sendgrid...
