    Secondary Storage for CloudStack

We're looking at OpenStack Swift vs a regular NFS.

Anyone using Swift with CS? Any integration issues? Can I just setup a standalone Swift server without the rest of OS?

NFS is simple and easy to manage/maintain when comparing to OpenStack Swift. Since CS secondary storage is not much IOPS dependent for IAAS you can compare the pros and cons before choosing NFS or OS Swift. I have setup many public IAAS with NFS as secondary storage (with RAID) and so far did't experienced any performance issues. You can also refer with the following video for more details about deploying CS cloud storage with OS Swift

You can plan your own deployment model for OS swift if you plan to go with OSS. Ceph ( is also an another choice for your primary storage management.
