Icydock? That should work for you.

You can mount SSDs directly into the Dell CS24-SC caddy.

I'd suggest using an icydock and not just sitting it into the slot itself. It could come lose doing it that way from the vibrations. Any of the normal Icydocks should do the trick for you if it's a hotswap bay I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yeah, the sleds have holes for both 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. Just make sure the heads on your screws are thin or you'll end up scrapping the inside of the chassis.

    These are what you want:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELL-POWER...item589b85e440

These position 2.5 drives perfectly for 3.5 backplanes.

Yes, the TY mount a 2.5" drive fine without an adapter.

Our C1100's have the necessary screw holes to mount SSD's directly. Saves us more than a few bucks in IcyDocks ;-)

I bought a few Dell servers recently even though I have been ANTI-Dell for roughly 8 years and I have to say they are pretty nice.
