It is great to see some server grade hardware from Hetzner. We will be grabbing a box or two shortly!

The pricing is great and along with the customization options, you can create some good configs for a low price. For example, consider the following:

    E3-1270v3
    32GB RAM
    4x2TB Enterprise HDD
    Hardware RAID
    20TB traffic on 1Gbps port (200Mbps guaranteed)

This config is available for Euro 129 per month with a Euro 99 setup fee. If you live outside Europe and do not have to pay VAT, then the price (after removing VAT and converting to USD) is ~$150 per month with a ~$115 setup fee. I am not aware of any other provider which can come close.

Does anyone know the motherboard P/N?

PS. Would be nice to see an E5-1650 with 2x480 GB SSDs. I guess I want too much

Thanks for all the positive posts guys!
It's great to see all of the interest there is in these servers. We're obviously constantly monitoring what our (potential) clients are saying/wanting and that is a big part of why we are now offering these servers. Any further comments and/or suggestions are very welcome.

The PX60/70 have an Intel Server Board S1200V3RPL motherboard.
The PX90/120 have a Supermicro SMC X9SRi-F motherboard.

Thanks for the feedback, who knows if we might offer further standard configurations in the future

Having said that, we could offer 20 different standard configurations and we would still have clients who wanted something slightly different (more/less RAM, more/less/smaller/larger drives, faster/slower CPU etc.). I think these 8 configurations are already quite a lot and cover what most clients want.
We do of course offer clients the opportunity to choose up to 4 drives that we can install in these servers, so getting a PX90/120 with 2x 480GB SSDs is possible, it'll just cost extra.

I wish they would provide 2 HD's + SSD without Flexi Pack. 2 HD's and SSD for Database or high IO applications is best combo.

Do you need one SSD or two SSDs for your DB?

Amazing speed. I'll review my contracts with OVH.
