Web hosting advice - Joomla / jomsoical site

    Hi all,

I need advice and hoped someone here could advise...

Want to setup a joomla site, with jomsocial, forum and the usual beels and whistles including software to offer, and accept payment for advertising, probably ijoomla ad agency)

    Projected users 500 - 1000 within 6 months.

I don't want to be too restricted re bandwidth and web space? I also don't want to jump in and get a large, expensive hosting plan right away, prefer to be able to "add to it" as the site grows.

Is it better to go for shared hosting, or vps or what?

Any advice, pointers or whatever would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

It may be better go straight for a VPS if you expect 500 - 1000 users within a short period of time, this way you won't have to go through the troubles of migrating the site from a shared hosting plan up to a VPS or dedicated when you do need it.

That makes sense... Can you suggest base spec to start with and VPS provider?

I think vps will suffice you for an year..
Try Cloud hosting as things are getting more exciting in that segment
