DNS Propagation delay beyond 48 hours

    Hello there,

I updated my name servers of powerelectronics.info 2 days back but it is still not propagated throughout the web.

Checked through powerelectronics.info in whatsmydns. It is updated only in 3 countries.

I got some info from intodns.

    Error Mismatched NS records
WARNING: One or more of your nameservers did not return any of your NS records.

    Error DNS servers responded
ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond:
The ones that did not respond are:
    205.204.86.227 205.204.86.228

Error Multiple Nameservers ERROR: Looks like you have less than 2 nameservers. According to RFC2182 section 5 you must have at least 3 nameservers, and no more than 7. Having 2 nameservers is also ok by me.

Error Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers You should already know that your NS records at your nameservers are missing, so here it is again:

    ns35.crocweb.com.
    ns36.crocweb.com.

What am I missing? Since DNS is updated in some countries, Can I assume that DNS info is correct but ISP is taking lot of time.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

It's nothing to do with propagation. The nameservers you're trying to use aren't authoritative for that domain. Assuming you're using the correct nameservers (the ones your provider gave you), open a ticket with them to fix it.
    Code:
    $ dig @ns35.crocweb.com powerelectronics.info

    ; <<>> DiG 9.8.1-P1 <<>> @ns35.crocweb.com powerelectronics.info
    ; (1 server found)
    ;; global options: +cmd
    ;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: REFUSED, id: 43202
    ;; flags: qr rd; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0
;; WARNING: recursion requested but not available

It's saying neither ns35.crocweb.com or ns36.crocweb.com actually hold records for your domain. This could just be a missed entry in the zone file, as both nameservers are responsive, it's not slow propagation though it's server-side.

I would be curious to know what the problem was. Most of the time I heard about the issue is because the client forgets to add the domain to his hosting package. That should be done through cpanel's "Add a domain" under domains.

You are partially right mate! But the domain was spelled wrong. My bad!
