My experience with OpenITC/XenVZ is nothing but great. Client since 2008, stable service, low price, IPv6 available (in Maidenhead, not yet in Newcastle), great custom control panel and most of the time things just work.
Support response isn't always the fastest but then again... there's very rare need to contact support at all as things just work. I did it maybe once in a year - always recieved satisfactory response back. My ordinary uptime with this host is 200 - 300 days. Bang for the buck.
i had used there service once, they do not care about 14 days money back guarantee. check there forums, you will find lot of people begging for refunds.
network is pathetic.
Hi Sudoku - If you've ever asked for a refund within 14 days of starting your service, you'll get one. There are only 3 exceptions where you won't get a full refund:
1) You used up a large portion of your bandwidth within that timeframe
2) You asked for a custom configuration or required custom setup
3) You broke the ToS
Off the top of my head, there have been a very, very small number of people who haven't qualified for a refund due to those conditions.
As for the forums, there's only one user I can find requesting a refund. It's from a user posting on someone else's thread and cross posting too. They only ever posted twice and their issue was resolved after we messaged them.
We don't remove posts from users except where they're obviously advertising, even if they're complaints about our service.
With the network issue you had, it's hard to comment on this without knowing the specifics. The last memorable one we had was with our anti-brand.
If you give me your account details I'm happy to investigate why you didn't get your refund. If you were eligible for a refund you absolutely should have received one.
