BitAccel Gone?
Ever since about the beginning of the month, my VPS (Buffalo, NY I think?) has been timing out more and more every week.
This last week my phone has been blowing up with SMS messages about the IP address going down 10 - 13 times a day.
My VPS has been completely down since around 9:00AM CST this morning. At that time I was able to access BitAccel's support page, but when I created a ticket, it just returned to the ticket screen (didnt actually make a ticket). Entered another ticket, and hitting submit the screen goes back to the main support page and I have 0 tickets open.
No twitter updates for about a month.
Now their main web site has been down all evening.
Another VPS company down the tubes?

It sounds like the node was having a flood if anything.

Well, looks like they got their site back up and Manshock was able to get his site back online, meanwhile his customers are still down. The VPS control panel errors out when trying to connect to the node. I guess it's time to move on.

I just checked my BitAccel VPS. It has been up for 9 days. That matches the amount time since I rebooted it manually after some tests.
I logged into the BitAccel control panel for my VPS, and it is working too.Last edited by vps_newbie; 10-24-2013 at 05:41 PM.

huh?
My bitaccel VPS is/was on the NY3 server. It has been down for over 24 hours now.
I just noticed that it is no longer showing up on the stats page. Just refreshed that page and I noticed that the other Buffalo NY servers can no longer be reached.

So instead of paying your bandwidth overage fees (overselling much?), you just let your customers sit without the VPS they paid for? I guess since you know you have a lot of peeved customers that are more than likely going to leave, no reason to rush and get the server back online till your next billing cycle.
(FYI: Get dedicated servers or colocation with unmetered ports.)

Since they've came back up, I havent had one SMS message about my VPS timing out (http and ping). Dont know what happened between the time the ports were disabled and now, but it's nice it went from A LOT from the week before the ports were disabled to none. Hope it keeps up.
