Have a look in the shared hosting section of this forum. It'll be really helpful.

You will need a VPS based on your requirements.. I recommend you to look for a managed VPS if you don't know how to manage one.

Even I am of the same opinion for VPS, because in shared hosting this might cost a little more. Then might as well go for a vps. In shared hosting there can't be any guarantee for memory(RAM) since it is shared amongst multiple users. However, this can be sorted out by opting for VPS. Please correct me if I am wrong. There are many options, i would recommend have more opinions here on WHT before selecting it. Good Luck.

if your site is fully optimized with no error,
i suggest setup a VPS with a caching system.
this would be relevant for you also:

Hey I still think this site could be hosted on a shared hosting account so long as the host is informed beforehand and they are given to proper requirements before tailoring their plan to the websites needs.

I highly doubt so as the OP mentioned he needed 2GB ram at least.
Also, with 500GB of bandwidth, you definitely should look into a VPS instead of a shared hosting provider.
Most, if not all providers, would not provide you with that much memory in a shared hosting environment.
