    Few Questions.

I am doing research on colocation centers - Specifically for game servers, virtual servers, and dedicated servers.

I want to know a company or a couple different companies that offer colocation services in or around the following areas:

    U.S.
    Chicago, IL (Considering Steadfast)
    Dallas, TX (Considering CoreXchange)
New York City, NY (Considering Steadfast)
    Atlanta, GA
Pheonix, AZ (PheonixNAP. Know anything else in the area?)
    Los Angeles, CA
    Seattle, WA

    E.U.
    Amsterdam, NL
    London, UK
    Frankfurt

As I will be hosting game servers on Xeon E3-based servers, I am not looking at absolutely massive profit margins. I'd like to do it all via Single-Server 1U / 2U offers.

Give me your best ideas, recommendations, mini-reviews, etc.

    Thanks!

P.S. - No, I am not buying it anytime soon. I'd just like to get a good general idea of my viable options.

P.S.S. - Before you ask, I am 17 years old. If you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to answer.

FDC is more for volume than latency.

I'd prefer to have good latency and routing (As would my clients, I'm sure), but I appreciate the feedback.

There are a few providers out there who are able to offer colocation in those locations it's tricky finding a single company however who has a good amount of locations that provide single server colo.

Take a look at colo@ for your Atlanta location. I was very impressed with their network and staff when I colo'ed there last year.

It's kinda hard to just list off all the providers in those areas, as they all have tons of providers. Some details to narrow it down would help. If you're interested in places that offer a variety of location options then here's a couple I could think of off hand.

SwiftWay is in Chi, NL and Fremont.

BurstNET is in Scranton PA, Los Angeles CA, Dallas TX, Miami FL, and Manchester UK

Peer1 is in Washington DC, Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, San Jose, Portsmouth UK, New York NY, Miami FL, Los Angeles CA

*Min of 4U in US/Canada, and 5U in UK.*

I can't think of a time where WHT people went after someone because of their age. I think generally people around here care more about what you say and do. A well thought out business plan is more respectable then the act of being over 30. I joined a couple of years ago when I was 18 or 19, us younger guys can flourish in the technological world.

Oh, one more thing. Game servers tend to attract a lot of DDoS attacks. You may want to take that into account when planning your business. Either hosting in Anti-DDoS facilities, or having the option to get minimally impacting DDoS protection for when your server is down due to a DDoS that way you aren't just forever screwed.
