Looking for dedicated server providers who allow this setup
I am looking for new dedicated server provider to host my companies clients e-Finance software databases (ERP/CRM etc). At the moment we are running on proxmox 3 with local area network setup. I am looking for a provider who's servers are up 99.99% of the time and are secure.
I need servers with hardware like this:
E5 QC 3GHz
4x 2TB or 2x 4TB HDD's
SSD 512GB (for OS)
100mb/s or 1000mb/s uplink (prefered 1000mb/s)
Minimum 20TB BW
2x NIC ports connected
We need proxmox 3 on it and two network interfaces.
ETH0 will be the main interface where the connection comes in and VMBR0 will be the local area network interface. We need proxmox to communicate with the VM's and we need to route ports to the right VM's.
Proxmox ETH0 ip is x.x.x.x and VM's ip is 192.168.1.x and we need to forward 8069 port to that VM from proxmox main IP. We will use shorewall for that.
I am sure any provider can supply you with such configuration.
How low of a price are you looking for? Lower isn't necessarily better (apart for your wallet).

While many dedicated server providers may balk at the somewhat unusual LAN configuration you’re requesting, most shouldn’t have a problem accommodating your needs. The two biggest things to look out for in a situation like this where you need your dedicated hosting provider to configure a server to your nonstandard specifications is the level of their customer service, because you would be interacting with them a fair amount, especially during the initial setup, and their overall technical skill. Online reviews and testimony from existing clients is the best measure of both of these, along with the general impression you gain during a phone interview with potential providers. I would greatly stress choosing the provider which offers you the best support for the price rather than strictly going by lowest bidder.
That should not be a problem for most providers. I know that we have several customers running Proxmox with a similar setup.
I would recommend for you to check the Dedicated Offers section and choose a provider or two there, then contact them directly to see if this can be setup within your budget.
One thing you did not specify is, how many IPs do you need?
