Open VPN side by site directadmin or cpanel? Possible?

If a server is used for hosting sites
    it has cpanel or directadmin

Is it possible to use it for a simple open vpn too?
    Does it make sense?
    Is it safe?
    Do people do that?
    Am I crazy?
