    1and1 Deleted email account

    Asking for a friend... Deleted 1and1 mail account by mistake, is there anyway to get old emails back?

    Have you contacted 1and1 to see if they have a backup? If they do offer a backup service, then they may charge for this. Did you use IMAP?

    Been hard work on the phone with them, not getting anywhere. Using there webmail with default settings not sure if it is pop or imap. I re-setup the email account but only pull in todays emails.

    Your only chance would be if they have it backed up.
    Other than that i don't see how.

    If you used POP3, you best hope that the emails wasn't downloaded locally and left a copy on the server, otherwise there would be nothing to restore

    1and1 will more and likely charge an extortionate amount if they do have a backup, just a word of warning.

    1&1 may not have backups, as advertised.
    But even if they do, I'd expect it's going to be expensive, not free.

    They should keep at least a weekly back up. Most hosting providers do.

    This is one of the reasons why you should configure POP3 account in your local system as well..lesson to learn...

    They should have a backup for you somewhere.

    1and1 are not the easiest of companies to deal with, though. Unfortunately!
