    Very interesting..

But here they say what free will have and what will stay commercial.

Open source users get a free, fast, customizable LiteSpeed. Commercial users benefit from a larger LiteSpeed community and features only available in the commercial editions. Hosting control panel compatibility, mod_security compatibility, .htaccess file compatibility, and page caching will remain commercial-only.

So it looks like the free version may be pretty scaled back.

Pretty much all the LiteSpeed Enterprise performance still there in OpenLiteSpeed. The only thing I personally think is holding back OLS adoption would be the actual .htaccess file support (OLS has apache mod_rewrite syntax support just not for the actual file). Discussion and trying to persuade OLS folks to support the .htaccess file itself in OLS http://openlitespeed.com/threads/hta...tch-plugin.60/.

OLS as you can read from https://groups.google.com/forum/#!fo...ed-development still needs work on stable Google SPDY support but getting there. Looking forward to that to do a OLS Spdy world flags demo similar to my Nginx Spdy world flags demo

Man, eva, I would actually love to see more people's reactions to what we've been talking about.
