    /var/lib/mysql larg size

    there are several folders inside /var/lib/mysql with 1 GB size like:


    and ...
    what are these files and can i remove them ?

    These are the binary logs of all write queries , if you do not use replication you can disable them by commenting out "log-bin" in /etc/my.cnf and they can then be removed.

    Those are binary logs for MySQL. You can disable it from your my.cnf. There should be an entry for log_bin in your my.cnf. You can either remove that line or you can comment it. For more details, you can refer the following article:
