If I understand, you've grown your LV on your host and from step2, you are doing it within your guest?
If you are using gpart, I think that take cares of the things resize2fs does.
If you are doing it manually, I think you have to use fdisk delete sda4,sda5 and then re-add. This is done so that you could adjust the boundaries of your partitions. If you delete without re-adding back the two partitions before writing to the disk table, you might loose everything in sda4 and sda5. Once you've gotten that done, reboot and do a resize2fs.
