I wanted to share this new feature of Secpanel and get your feedback.

File Integrity Monitoring.

It allows you to define files in your server for monitoring. You can set alerts via a web dashboard.

Once under monitoring, you will get an alert whenever any of those files are modified.

Use case 1:

If you would like to be alerted when some one changes the password of any user, you can set the file monitoring alert for the file /etc/passwd.

Use case 2:
If you would like to be alerted when a new package is installed on your server, you can set monitoring for /usr/bin

You will get an alert like this

Use case 3:
If a binary or a data file is sensitive, you can set monitoring for that file. You will be alerted whenever that file is changed.

Here is more information on this feature.

You can try out Secpanel free for 30 days.
