Reaching out to see if any of the other 2CO sellers got an email today or recently about "non-compliance" with the US government law regarding 6050W. We had to fill out the forms that 2CO provided us with and filled these out the same day they popped up on our account, and everything went business as usual. So today we received an email stating that if we didn't fill out these "forms" they would "hold" our payments.
They were filled out months ago and there isn't any indicator on our account that states otherwise.
Plan on shooting them a phone call tomorrow since it's clearly an error in their system, just wondering if anyone else got this today
I did some Googling and the only thing that came back that was relevant was this thread. Hopefully it's an isolated issue.
Yeah I did some checking around as well, but I can only assume this email was sent to numerous people considering the time it arrived in my inbox (which was 3 or so hours after their business hours). So it seems to me like a mass mail that was sent and perhaps they screwed something up.
I'd drop them asap, we used them for almost a year without any major issues thousands of orders less than 1% charge backs and they closed our account on us after one customer did three charge backs after being upset he got ddos attacked and didn't want to pay for protection from it.
We tried to call them also before this happen and got the silent treatment then next thing we knew they closed our account and took three months before we could get our 6k+ from them into our bank account.
If you check the forums here they've done this to multiple others as well.

Meant to shoot an update here this morning but after calling the guy said that it was a "mass mail" and some mistakes were made and we shouldn't have received it, went along to verify the account was in order and no outstanding issues etc etc. So I'm going to chalk this one up as user-error.
I've never really had a big problem with 2CO. We recently got them to drop our rates down to 2.9% + 0.30 (which is the default Paypal rates and the default rates they are now offering on signup). We've had some ups and downs with their fraud system where we'd get some orders that looked healthy and then a month or so down the road we'd get a chargeback on 'em, but then again we all must realize what industry we are in when this happens.
Overall I haven't had a bad experience with them as our primary gateway, few hiccups here and there but that's about it.
