Domain question...

Hi,

Little more than a month ago i started my own web hosting company in the UK, since then i have recently purchased my own dedicated server and tommorow i get my license for cpanel and whm.

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction so that i can actually register domains myself rather than going through the comapny i use at the moment, ukreg.com to register domains, there prices are great but a more profesional approach would be to get my own comapny name on the whois records.

Thanks for any replies.

Do you want your company name to be listed under Administrative Contact, or under Domain Registrar? If you want to show up as the actual domain registrar, you'll have to become an ICANN accredited registrar, which costs $50,000.

wow $50k is out of my price range for a while, i have done more resarch and i think i can have my own name appear on the uk whois database for £400 setup fee then £100 per year, thats about $700 is anyone wanted to know, i think i wont bother doing it yet as i only have yearly clients, soon i will be doing monthly and when i get my client base over 50 monthly i should be able to afford it

Thanks for your help

Be a reseller of enom.com . Credit the account for $500, then you can register domain at $8.95, it will be lower if you register more domains.
